When you donate or participate in our activities, we process your personal data. Rest assured, your privacy is important to us.

Purpose of data processing

This notice explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you interact with iRi (e.g. at events, by email, telephone or online). It complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What personal data do we collect?

We collect the following types of data, depending on your interaction with iRi:

  • name, surname, email address, telephone number, mailing address;
  • your image in photos taken at our events.

Data may be collected when:

  • you make a donation (online, via bank, physical etc.);
  • you sign in for an event organized by us;
  • you contact us.

Why do we process this data?

We process data for legitimate purposes, such as:

  • informing about the destination of donations;
  • identifying and confirming your participation in events.

The processing of data is based on the execution of a contract (e.g. donations, sponsorship, volunteering), legal obligations or your consent.

Execution of a contract: In the case of a donation, sponsorship, or if you become a participant in activities or volunteer, we process your data to fulfill that contract. For example, if you make a donation, we need your data to process the donation and confirm your participation.

Legal obligations: Sometimes, we are required by law to process your data. For example, to comply with tax regulations or other legal obligations.

Your consent: If we process your data for marketing purposes or other purposes for which we ask for your permission, this is done on the basis of your express consent. You can accept or refuse these activities.

Data processing period

Your data will be processed for as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned above. If you withdraw your consent, we will cease processing it for this purpose, but previous processing will remain valid.

Data sharing

iRi may share your data with third parties only if required by law.

Under the law, you have the following rights:

  2. Right to rectification. You can request correction or completion of data.
  3. Right to erasure. You can request deletion of data if it is no longer necessary or if you withdraw your consent.

  6. Right to challenge automated decisions. If you have been subject to an automated decision, you can request its reassessment.
  7. Filing a complaint. You can file a complaint with the authority data protection (National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova).
